Bio
Wendell was a tank engine who was seen on Sodor a few times. Wendell had been sent to work at the harbor at Knapford, but being confined to a small yard, he seeked adventure onto Edward's line where he met Bill and Ben. He returned as a pilot engine at Tidmouth, shunting small trains and fetching coaches for bigger engines. When Sir Topham Hat needed an engine to tackle a heavy goods train to Barrow, Wendell took to the task, but ended up in Farmer Brown's Field! To those who heard his story, he was 'The Iron Solider'!

Wendell is based on a Hudswell Clarke 0-6-0.
